I have two favorite teachers, Ms Parker and Ms Ostellino. They're both a lot of fun but they also make sure you get your work done and are more than willing to help you at any given time.
Ms Parker is a math teacher and one of the best I've had all throughout high school and Ms Ostellino aka "Osto" is an art teacher and an amazing one at that. They're both really great teachers to have and look forward to.

Mrs. Small and Mr. Collingsworth were my favorite teachers this year because their classes were simple and didn't bother you for work you missed. They made it your option to turn your work in on time or late. They were also pretty laid-back about most things in class and they liked to joke around and talk about random things.

For the most part, you rose to the challenge of self-direction Brandon. You knew what you needed to do to get your stuff done and you did it. An important life lesson is learning failure is always an option, you just have to be prepared to deal with the consequences and you knew better than to allow that to happen. Gratz! Knowing how many jobs you're holding down, I know you'll be fine out there and a productive member of society. :-D

I personally do not have a favorite teacher to choose, every teacher I have had through out my whole four years of high school are amazing and do well at what they do.

Freshman, here is my advice to keep YOU alive during your high school years.

1) if you are respectful to teachers and upper class men or anyone else, you will be respected back. Don't back talk your teachers,do what your told. Don't think your all that.

2) join something!. Even if it isn't after school or sports. Our art and theater classes are extremely fun and they teachers are so wonderful!

3)DO YOUR WORK. I promise that if you do your work, stay on time and GO to class, you will be all set.

4) Don't walk extremely slow in the halls,or walk on the wrong side of the hall. YOU WILL GET TRAMPLED. People don't care if you are in the way, they are trying to get to class.

This can be words of wisdom for every grade, this doesn't just apply to you freshies. :) hope you all a wonderful year!.

I'd have to say my favorite administrator/teacher is Mrs. Esko. She is a selfless, compassionate person and she will do anything for any student who is struggling in this school. She pours so much time and effort into helping students, she was a fun and outgoing teacher and had a style of teaching that helped me learn so much throughout the years. She had to transition from a teacher to an administrator in the middle of the year, which was probably a hard decision to make. What's unique about her is even as an administrator she'll never lose sight of what's most important in public schools, the kids and their right to a quality education. Thank you, Mrs. Esko!!!

I chose Ms. Hashim and Mr. Sheehan, but I don't prefer one over the other because I feel that every teacher deserves a round of applause for their hard work and having to deal with high school students. I choose Ms. Hashim because she's always been very supportive of me and constantly pushed me to do my best every time even though I hated it, but because of that, I now push myself over my limits and know that I can always do better. I also chose Mr. Sheehan because he also has been very supportive and always made class very entertaining.

(Romans 1:20 "For the invisible things of him, from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that ate made, even his eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.")

Three teachers who have really inspired me as well as made my High school experience more interesting and vital are Mrs. Dick, Mr. Utrera, as well as Mr. Barsanti. Ive had Mrs. Dick for two years during the course of time that I have been going to school at PHS. Her class is always a enriching learning experience that leaves me thinking when I leave the building as well as its just an enjoyable class to be in. She always makes me laugh and brightens my day with a sense of humor that is entirely her own. Shes someone that I could aspire to be. Shes a very intelligent, strong, and good hearted women, Who I have been lucky enough to have as a teacher. Another member of the staff Who has inspired me to be a better and more successful version of myself is Mr. Utrera. Ive had Mr U as a teacher full time only once. It was freshman year and he ended up taking the part of our classes biology teacher. He teaches with passion and dedication. He rarely ever looked in the text book for reference or for guidence. He was always well educated and full of information on each new item that he taught us. What I liked about him the most was his genuine care for the students not only in his class but anyone who was attending PHS. He watched us grow and always greeted someone he knew when he saw them on their way to class. He would always try to make me smile or show some kind of reassurance that I was doing good. He isn't just a amazingly kind and caring teacher, but an all around richeous and selfless man. Last but not least a teacher who is known well for his twisted humor and unsugarcoated opinion and voice, who inspired me to have more confidence in my work and myself, is Mr. Barsanti, or as we all called him, Barr. For one of the first times in my life I finally had a teacher who didn't just seem like just another figure of authority or suit. He was a person. We could all see that. He shared his honest opinions with us.The first to not keep the wool over our eyes. He prepared us for the real world. He never tried to shove his assumptions or ideals down our throats, he let us make our own. He let us be real. He let us be ourselves. For once I felt that I was saw as a person. And not just another person to teach. What I loved the most about his class was the sheer freedom to be a person. I regret not having taken advantage of that opportunity when I had it but I always left seventh period with a smile and a story to tell. Id'e like to thank all three of these very dedicated individuals for making me believe in myself a little more and for making my high school experience one that I will take with me.

It is extremely hard to choose a favorite teacher i enjoyed a majority of the staff members here a PHS and enjoyed many different classes even though the list may be long i cant narrow it done to a specific person. Out of the classes iv'e been through my favorites were Mr. Careli and Mr. Adams in science Mr. Reynolds in English Mr. Sheran and Mr. Sheehan in History and especially Mr. Utrera who is the greatest substitute teachers ive ever had. And even though she has left the school i have to give Ms. Curry a honorable mention in my list of favorite teachers. And all of the art teachers are amazing as well Mrs. Osto Patton and Quinn. Im sorry if i missed you. Peace love PHS 2K15

Mr Collingsworth is my favorite teacher because he is laid back in class. He makes reading the books interesting and not boring. He makes sure you understand the meaning of the book with class discussions and hangman was always fun unless my group lost. For example with the Life of Pi class discussions were always interesting and I understood the book and liked it a lot more

My favorite adult in the school is Ms. Kristen Griffin, I met her when i was a sophomore and it was weird because i thought she was a bitch but shes very nice and shes also a rugby mom because her daughter plays rugby. she was always there when i needed to talk to someone, she would kick her other students out when I needed to talk to her and I will forever be great full for that and I will miss her when I move to France because there is no one like her. My other favorite adult in the school is Mr. Collingsworth because hes the only English teacher i had ever had that actually make me think, like a lot. We read books that challenged what we as individuals believed in and almost made me change my own damn religion. He is a man with a lot of knowledge and still strives to learn more. I wish I had his class longer because maybe I would be as smart as he is.

My favorite teacher throughout my whole existence here at phs has been gina. as much as we've gone at it shes the only reason im still here and about to graduate. shes definitely left a mark on me and i think she will on all her students. i've never had a teacher care so much about me and want to see me do so good. i've also never had a teacher keep it so honest with me and i respect that. i can almost say that i owe my diploma to her because if it wasnt for her pushing me and her words of encouragement i would not be here. me and ginas other students have come so close to her that we look at her as a second mom, i mean she does act like one. shes a super teacher, if thats possible.

My favorite teacher is Mrs. Murphy. Though I had her my junior year and haven't caught up with her this year, she has a special place in my heart. Not only did I love the class Psychology, I found it very interesting and fun. But the way she taught it. She laid out a judgement free zone. It was the only class I felt like I could really express my thoughts with everybody in the room and not feel judged. We may have disagreements with the class over a contraversial subject, but I was never looked down upon. Mrs. Murphy created an environment where our classroom became a family. We are all unique and and all loved. She genuinely loves her job and cares for all of her students. She and I have connected with a special relationship and she has helped me grow into the young lady I am today. She is an open book; she's not afraid to tell you her experiences, her accomplishments, her personal life, her story. She is truly the strongest woman I know and I idolize her in many ways. Mrs. Murphy was like my second mom. I could come to her about anything and she would help me out. Grades, personal life, just to chat, anything and she was there. She's a great supporter and an extraordinary teacher and person. Thank you Mrs. Murphy for all of the love, support, and education. I will miss you!!

I would also like to Mrs. Jones, the paras, and Mrs. Carnevale.....Mrs Jones is David, my Best Buddy's teacher. Through out this school year David and I have formed a great friendship, something I hope to keep life long. But during his visits in his classes I also developed a relationship with his teachers and staff. We have gotten to know each other so well and I admire you guys for what you do. Every day is different, and it's not easy. But you guys have a heart of gold for doing what you do everyday. I have looked up to you as my role models and looked at David as my inspiration and motivation. I will start my journey in the fall at BCC for Nursing, my plans after that are to continue working with special needs children. I plan to become a Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics Nurse. I plan to recieve my Bachelors and Masters and the hopes of working at Shriners Hospital someday. The staff and kids have taught me so much. responsibility, maturity, an open mind, a different perspective on life, and a change in my future career path. Thank you so much for all that you do for David and these children. You have become my family, I love each and every one of those kids! It will be bittersweet leaving, but I will come back and visit you guys! Thanks again for all that you do for our community and having the biggest hearts. Truly an inspiration.

Throughout the entirety of my four years here at PHS, I've acquainted and befriended multiple teachers with genuine, memorable personalities. It would be impossible for me to write everything I’ve loved about just one of them. To name a few:

(Arranged in no particular order)

Mrs. (Sally) Shepard: You made adjusting to high school so much less frustrating, and were such a big help in terms of keeping me on top of my work. I hope you've enjoyed your retirement, I'll cya around every now and then when I'm at work I'm sure.

Mrs. Curry: You had a very charming personality and always kept class fun. I really enjoyed your U.S History class and I was able to learn so much from you. I hope you'll continue to enjoy a relaxing retirement. You've left such a long lasting impression on myself and my friends altogether, you'll always pop up in our conversations from time to time. Beware the yard stick.

Mrs. Murphy: It seems just like yesterday you said that we would be your homeroom students for our whole four years at PHS. You were a very kind, humorous, and unique teacher whom I appreciated being around very much. I loved your psychology class, and I've been able to apply a lot of what you taught me in the course to real life. I hope I was able to l on you like my brother!

Ms. Pink: Your class was one of my favorites throughout my time in PHS! You have a remarkable sense of humor and are very kind. I wish I could have taken your class again this year, really! Thank you for putting up with my shenanigans. #mostmurican2014

Ms. Parker: You were a great math teacher, very understanding of my lack of work output despite math being my worst subject and the troubles I had been struggling through my entire Senior year. Thank you for your unwavering patience and dedication.

Ms. Truax: Initially physics was one of the subjects I dreaded and struggled in the most, but you've helped me to turn that around and make it one of my favorites. You're a very kind and knowledgeable person. Thank you, you've been such a big help to me.

Mrs. Quinn (Art): Thank you for being so lenient with me. My period one attendance has remained atrocious for the entirety of this year, but you've been kind enough to cut me some slack. I enjoyed learning about the variations of artistic techniques you taught us through your relaxing class.

Mr. Collingsworth: Another great teacher with a laid back personality (in a good way). I enjoyed having your class despite my constant lateness (I'm actually late today because I'm writing this lololol) and lackadaisical personality in the class.

Mrs. Palatt + Tanya: You've both done so much for both me and everyone that has had your class. You're some of the most patient and kindest teachers amongst everyone in PHS, and have worked tirelessly to see us all through High School. Thank you for all that you do, I hope that your work won't be underappreciated.

Of course I can not forget the teacher I had the pleasure of working with and learning from from start to finish, Mr. Galok.

Mr. Galok, I know that my time with you might have been regularly unpleasant due to Mike's, and Troy's, and my own rambunctious tendencies. You are a very wise, and insightful individual with a wealth of knowledge to offer all of us. In my Sophomore year with you, I had thought it to be very admirable that you were able to find the strength to come back and continue to teach our class despite the tragic loss of your son. You were a very stern teacher whom always encouraged us to do our very best in class. You told us countless stories, shared with us countless, unforgettable memories, and have probably left a huge impression on me and my outlook on life. Through all of those miserable days that made it difficult to find the motivation to come to school and teach, you had still continued to find a reason to come and work with us through your course. You had always done a great job to make everyone feel like more than just another face out of the hundreds of students you teach in your class. You're able to pick out each of our qualities that make us all unique. You acknowledge the great work that your students do, and offer praise where it is seen as well deserved. The saddest part about leaving high school will be leaving your class behind. Even though I had let on to make it seem like I didn't learn much from your class, you've taught me countless things both in regards to power technology, auto-mechanics, and the vast world beyond Pittsfield. As a result of "The World's Fastest Indian" being one of the only movies you had available for us to watch on our substitute teacher/movie days, for FOUR WHOLE YEARS, I've been able to learn and recite the entirety of the movie's dialogue and match it to each scene accordingly. Just kidding - but we seriously watched that movie like a thousand times. My only regret is that I wasn't able to portray myself as the respectable, mature, and intelligent person (LOL can you believe I'm saying

The other two teachers that really left a mark on me are Ms. Murphy & Mrs. Esko. I met both of them in ninth grade and they've been there for me since day one! No matter how much I did they never judged me or treated me differently. They made my experience here at Phs a lot easier. From things like helping understand something to being there to talk about my problems. I honestly can't thank them enough. I'd also like to say that they're classes were some of my favorites, they were fun and not always book work. If high school was taught by just people like them, I think everyone would graduate and have good grades. Thank you guys so much, you really have been here for me through laughs, tears, tantrums, and all and you never gave up you kept pushing me and now I'm a senior with two weeks left of school. I want to thank you for helping me make that happen! I will never forget you guys, that's for sure!

I have 3 favorite teachers. Ms. Parker, Ms. Quinn and Osto. Ms. Parker, you were always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. You gave me the best advice. You also pushed me this year to do good in math and to be a better person. Ms. Quinn, you were also always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. You are an outgoing and such a fun teacher to be close to! I will miss you. And Osto, I could always count on you to make me laugh. If I was having a bad day, after your class I was always in a better mood. You have an awesome personality and I'm going to miss the every day laugh I had with you.

My favorite teachers, by far, were Mrs Curry and Mrs Allen mainly because of their method of teaching. Not paying attention? That would result in a yard stick coming to close for comfort and although it's incredibly scary at first, they just want to help you learn and pay attention. Quite frankly, IT WORKED!!! Plus their attitudes and passion for whatever they do make the school day better for their students, which is something all teachers should take away from these two teachers. You guys are my favorite!

Dear Jay,
An incredible thank you for your kind comments. Had it not been for your desire to learn and commitment to excel in academic pursuits, no yardstick would have mattered. I too will remind you fondly and wish you all the best as you embark on your collegiate future. Remember, you can always count on me if you need a little historical review. Good luck, dear. See you at the gym.

My favorite teacher was Mr. Kettles although he wasn't the most vibrant or out of the ordinary teacher, but I LIked his teaching style in both of his classes I took. Since his classes were about the only ones I actually really enjoyed I have chosen to persue a career in business when before I had a hard time figuring out how my life was going to go

My favorite teacher is Ms. Chalmers. I had her two years in a row, the first year i disrespected her and was an awful student, not paying attention during class and sleeping through class. The second year i was in her class we were able to put all of that in the past and i ended up doing really well in her class with her help and encouragement, although I didn't have her this year I can still talk to her. She's also able to make you laugh when you're having a horrible day.

I have three favorite teachers that have been my favorites ever since i came in and one i had in middle school….my first two favorite teachers are the art teachers, Ms.Osto and Ms.Quinn. they're the best art teachers in this school and are very serious about teaching art but know how to have fun doing it and they make it a fun, enjoyable experience. they're love is unconditional and they are almost like a second mom cause they cared for me and watched my grades and kept me on track if i was slipping a little, thats unconditional love that you don't find in every teacher here. my third favorite is Mr.Collingsworth cause its always fun and interesting in his class and I've had him in middle school so I've known him before high school and he's a good teacher , who is also serious about teaching but knows how to have fun while doing and he's the best english teacher I've had all high school.

My two favorite teachers would have to be Miss Duffy, my freshman english teacher, and Mr Kelly my seventh grade history teacher. I chose Miss Duffy because she taught me many things about one of my favorite subjects. She pushed me to creatively write and helped shape me into the writer i am today. I took a lot from her class and am thankful for it everyday when i write. I also chose Mr Kelly because he left a serious mark on the way i learn. He always taught me to think for myself and also helped shape me into the writer i am today. Writing is a very important part of my life and these two teachers helped me grow as a writer more than any.
