During my last 4 years at PHS I had lots of wonderful teachers that helped me out along the way, but if I had to choose a favorite it'd be Mrs.Allen. She is a very strong woman who pushes all of her students, no matter how challenging they are, towards success. When she looks around her classroom she sees us all as people with potential, even when we don't see it in ourselves and for that I thank her, and for that she is my favorite.
I thank you for your generous comments. It is I who feel blessed to have students like you who give so much to others and show a great kindness and respect to old ladies like me! Love U too.
My favorite faculty member at Pittsfield High School would have to be Officer Godfroy. I have grown a great relationship with her. I have gone through a lot the last 2 years with school and outside of school and she took the time to listen to me and help me. Thank you for being a positive role model in my life and helping me get past bumps in the road!
Even tho I've only had Ms. Boino for two years she's easily one of my favorite teachers here at PHS. She has pushed me to be the best I can be and she never expected anything less then perfect from me. She knew how much potential I had as a student and as a person and always inspired me to excel in life. Even tho I didn't have her for a teacher this year everytime I would see her in the hall and she would check in and see how I was doing. Thank you so much for pushing me the way you did. You made me a better student and a better person.
Emma it is students like you who brighten my day and make me realize that being a teacher is my calling. You have so much to offer the world. I can't wait to have you come back in five years and share with me all you have done and learned. I will miss your bubbly personality and smile around the halls at PHS!
Its hard to pick a favorite teacher when Ive had so many different connections with so many different faculty members, but if I were to pick a favorite it would be Mrs. Murphy. Ive had Mrs Murphy for two years now and there isn't a day that I regret taking her class for another year. The stories that she tells and the ways that she teaches make it so easy to connect with her. She is always willing to listen and give advice, and she gives off such a happy vibe. Im really going to miss going to her class everyday after graduation.
Thanks so much Hailey. I have so enjoyed having you in my class for two years and I will miss our almost daily talks next year! I know you will do well in college. Keep being your kind, funny and unique self!
If i had to choose my favorite teacher I would have to say it is Mrs.Charles. I want to thank her for everything she has helped me with, she's helped me through these last two years with school work to personal life as well. She has showed me that I can truly do anything I want to do if I put my mind to it and put the handwork into it as well.
Thanks Ally! I am glad that you realize how much potential you have :) You are such a great student and always work so hard! :)
A staff member that I would like to thank Mrs Charles. Even tho I've had Mrs. charles for one year she's easily my favorite teacher I had at PHS. She helps me with staying on top of all my assignments. From time to time I’m known for being a little absent minded from time to time and lose track of things that needed to be handed in or completed, Mrs.charles is always happy to help even when shes is insanely bussey. Mrs. charles is always able to explains things that I am having trouble on mostly because she is so great on learning teaching techniques to To cater to each individual students of hers.
Thanks Jake! You know I am happy to help whenever you need it! You are such a great student and work very hard to make up for any "absent minded" times. I am confident you will do well at college, wherever you decide to go! :)
during my 2 last year in the PHS are many teacher help in learn other language. she taught many about grammar and as dominated other word that I didn't know. this teacher is Mrs. Celebi. she give many opportunities to new students from other countries and she show us that any students should superated and strive for achieve to our goals.
Thank you so much for your kind acknowledgement. I have enjoyed having you as a student and really wish that we had more years together! Students like your make teaching a pleasure. I appreciate your hard-work, curiosity and drive to reach your goals! You will be successful in your endeavors!
Of all the martyrs of which we call our leaders I would have to pick Bar as one who never gives into the nay sayers of which each class is. He rather acts along with what he preaches. He gives it to you straight and cuts out all the crap. He wants you to succeed and expects you to have a damn good reason why you don't. Bar allows for you to say or think anything you wish but you had better stand by your convictions and fight for them. He showed me that I don't just have to be a sheep and follow the herd headed for the slaughterhouse. That my future is just that, MY future and I decide where it leads. That obstacles are only preventative if I allow them to be.
Thanks for the comments. Keep the faith. As for martyrdom, my mother said to me "get off the cross, Jesus needs the wood."
My favorite teacher is Mr.Asher because he helped me improve in my ways of thinking and life choses that I learned to face head on and i thank him a lot for it.
You are one of the best students a teacher could have. You are always respectful and patient with other students. I am happy that you are graduating, but will definitely miss our games of 1-on-1 basketball during lunch!
In my time here at PHS i've had plenty of different teachers some that went above and beyond the call of duty and some that i just didn't agree with but if there's one teacher ill miss the most its gonna be Ms. Parker she has to be the first teacher that ever made me interested in math not only that she took the time to talk to us she got to know you if you're in her and you got to know her she met you as an equal and treated you with the same respect you gave her and wasn't afraid to put you in you're place if you stepped out of line so Ms. Parker gets a ten out of ten would take her class again.
AWE!! Thanks Cody!! I am so glad you enjoyed our class! It was definitely an interesting one. I'll miss you too buddy! Wishing you the best in all your future endeavors! Hope you come visit me!
I would just like to thank every single staff member in this building for their devotion to teach and passion to inspire young minds. Thank you all for your service. And I would also like to thank Mr Betti, whom is no longer a staff member here, for the extremely though provoking and savage lectures about the keys to a life well spent.
I would like to thank Mrs.Allen for being the best teacher that i had. Not many teachers that i had actually taught me things that stuck with me but Mrs.Allens class is where i learned the most. Not only did she teach me in history but also made me a better writer. History became a lot less boring because of her and her energetic attitude even in 1st period.
I consider myself honored to have been your teacher for the past 2 years. I remember your quiet strength and dignity and your constant drive to do more. You are such a gifted student and your writing and your artistry come from within - I just gave you the tools to dig them up! Thank you Shane for the kind words - I cherish them. Please come visit me next year and tell me all about your successes.
It was not an easy transition from middle school to high school. I came from Richmond Consolidated where I graduated with a class less than 20 people; it was absolutely terrifying going into a school with around 1,000 other kids. Freshmen year wasn't fun. Teachers were the only people I relied on when it came to dealing with my new high school experience. Mr. Reynolds was my first period teacher on the first day of school as a freshman. The first impression was simple; he was crazy. I had him for a teacher for two years where I came to the conclusion that he was doing crazy and unexpected things to make the kids understand the lessons more. Many kids complained about his actions where I looked forward to his classes. He made us laugh during discussions which made the concept of what was being taught way more easier to understand than reading from a book all day and not understand what is being taught. Mr. Reynolds knew from the beginning that I was shy and did not want to talk with all these loud, annoying kids around me. He made me talk in discussion; it helped me open up a little more. I don't know if I would be so talkative and outgoing today if it wasn't for my favorite teacher, Mr. Reynolds.
Karlie, I don't know if I ever got back to you on this, but thank you for your kind words. Your daily smile and positive attitude were a welcome addition to my day during some tough years. PS: I'm still crazy after all these years. :)
My favorite teacher would have to be mr.sheran mostly because of class i took that he taught, i didnt think it would be intresting but the way he did ended up being my favorite class and that he never flipped out on the class.
Thanks Chip! You have been a great contributor to our class throughout the year and I couldn't have been happier to have you on the NYC / Philly trip last weekend.
My favorite teachers the past 4 years of high school is mr Eddy and mr Buckley cuz they teach me a lot about cooking and the proper ways of cooking. The first time i started culinary i was serving tables and i was really good and my 11th grade we were cooking so we did book work second period then cook. My senior year is the fun part cuz u the upper class showing the 10th graders whats the right thing to do and Mr.Eddy is funny cuz he cal;ls his cookies his baby. Plus mr Collingworths is a "g" cuz he is pretty cool compare to 9th grade.
Aw, Walter. It's been a true privilege to see how much you've grown these past years.
Walter, It has been a pleasure to have you in class the last four years! Cook on my friend!!
My favorite teacher would have to be mrs Quinones. Our class even though it sometimes got a bit hectic was a comfort place for me. Somewhere I felt confident and safe. Shehas done so much for me and she doesn't even know. By being her student she gave me a lot of lessons that helped me to become more confident in who I am and my abilities. She showed me that even in the worse of rimes you can always smile. She showed me more kindness and sincerity than I can remember from most teachers. But I'm sad she couldn't see me through my senior year and see me grow up and become the person she always said you believed me to be. I'm not all the way there yet but i'm on my way and her lessons sometimes help me stay on track. You'll always be unforgettable to me because you took a little furtherstep in helping me be successful. Thank you for all you have done for me Mrs. Quinones. I'll never forget it.
Oh, Autumn! Thank you so much for the kind words. It really makes me happy to know you are doing so well, though I can't say I'm surprised! Even though I'm not with you at PHS, I think about you all often, and hope you'll stay in touch!
I would like to thank every teacher that has taught me throughout high school. If I had to pick a favorite teacher it would be Mr.Carelli. He not only taught me about geology, but he taught me life lessons that I will never forget. I will certainly take those lessons and apply them to my everyday life.
Of all the wonderful teachers here at PHS, my favorite would have to be Mrs. Dick. Her great sense of humor really keeps everyone paying attention in class and she is so personable. She also genuinely cares about each and every one of her students and makes sure to help them in any way she can. Thanks for being an amazing person and great teacher!
Four years at PHS has felt longer than going to middle school and elementary school combined. Although it has felt like school is never going to end, the end is finally here. Mr. Renton has made these last 4 years fly by. Every kid who has taken his class had a common interest in wood working, welding, and so many other things. Mr. Renton finds a way to help everyone willing to learn this trade and once he is done everyone understands questions they once had. He is very skilled in what he does so he easily helps mold others into skilled, hard workers. Finally, Mr. Renton is not your ordinary teacher, if you have any issues you can go to him, if you dont like something you can tell him and work it out, and lastly you can talk to him like another person and not like a teacher. Therefore Mr. Renton is my favorite teacher.
Out of four years of high school. I have to say Ms. Small is my favorite teacher. She is very thoughtful person. If you have a problem with anything she will talk ro you and help the situation. She helps with with math and any other school work. Thank you Ms. Small!
Thank you Michala!
It has been a pleasure to help you! I have enjoyed your smile and company since freshman year and I will truly miss you! I am very sure that you will be successful and able to solve any problem in the future that may arise. Just remember I am still here if you might need help with getting the solution.
The four years of attending Pittsfield high school I've met the most amazing teachers in this building. Each one has there own experience with me that has changed me to become a better person, so thank you for all the teachers I have now or had in the past. Who I really appreciate overall is Mrs.Murphy. You've helped me when I had your for study hall and encourage me to engage in task I thought I wasn't going to be successful in. I respect the time you've given me to help me out in and out of school problems. I believe out of all the teachers I currently have I relate with you very well. Thank you Mrs.Murphys and all the other teachers who weren't recognized.
Thank you for your kind words Donte. You are a kind and sensitive young man who is capable of doing anything you want in life. I will miss seeing you next year and hope that you will check in every now and then!
Throughout my 4 years here at PHS I have had many teachers, some I did not get along with and some I did get along with. But the one teacher that I will always remember and always be thankful for is Ms. Quinn. Ms. Quinn has been there for me since freshman year, when I was just a little 13 year old. She's been there for sports, other classes I've struggled with, problems I've had outside of school and when I was having a bad day, she knew right away and always made me feel better. For that I will ALWAYS remember Ms. Quinn and she will always have a special place in my heart.
Thanks Connor....back at ya!!!!......Good luck ...I will miss you.... :)
The teachers that I did like at PHS, were all good people- the only kind of people I get along with. I liked them for different reasons, but appreciated them all the same. I liked Mrs Small because she was always telling me about her latest dog story and about life before becoming a teacher. Ms. Pink was also a cool person to talk with and made me laugh sometimes. But I think I appreciated her mainly because she really is a good person. And lastly, Mrs. Hoag, for sleep yoga and all the other things she does that doesn't involve a stupid game and a ball. Mrs Parker deserves to be recognized for being a good person too.
It has been a pleasure sharing my stories about the Life of Pi and his side kick Shadow with you. Thank you for granting me the honor of having you for a student and TA. I will miss you and your awesome personality. If you ever need to talk or hear another Pi story just stop by and see me sometime.
In all four years at phs ive had alot of good teachers and bad ones. From my experiences through all the years i think mr.renton by far is my fav. He always been so patient and really has tought me alot, hes not just a faculty member hes more like a friend with a ton of wisdom to pass down to us.
During my short two years at Pittsfield High, my most favorite teacher was Dr. Whately. Although I'm sure many students wouldn't pick a physics teacher to be there most favorite teacher, I believe Whatley was one of the smartest teachers I've had in school up to this point. I retained a lot of info from that class, some things that I will never forget. I thank you and all the other teachers that devote there time to teach us kids,
Thanks Joe, It was a pleasure to have you in class and I'm glad you learned some interesting things! Your curiosity will serve you well, the more you learn the more interesting and fun life becomes. Good luck I know you have a very bright future!!
During my 4 years at PHS I had a lot of wonderful teachers helping me out along the way and regardless of the bad times and many struggles I had they never gave up on me and for that I will be forever thankful. If I have to choose a favorite teacher it will have to be Mr. Buckley. He's an amazing teacher, the stories he tells and the way he teaches makes the school day and life so much easier. I'm so happy I got to be in his class. He believes in all of his students and pushes them to do great things because he knows the potential they have.
Thank you Mr. Buckley for believing in me. You made me a better person and a better student. You not only taught me about cooking but you taught me life lessons.
Maria, Thank you for the kind words. You are an amazing young lady!
These last 2 years of high school, I've had a teacher who worked with me and kept me going with my work, but not just any work, my art work. Mrs. Quinn has always boosted up my self esteem and comment on how well my art is and tell me that I'm always thinking beyond with my art. She is one of my favorite teachers but I feel like even after high school, I could always go to her and visit and she will still be there for me. She is the best and I'll miss her when I leave.
Alexis....Thank You!!!.....I will miss you...GOOD LUCK...
My favorite teachers are my academic support teachers. Without their help I probably wouldn't have made it through high school. I like all my teachers and think they are all helpful and caring people that want us students to succeed.
I'd have to go with Mr MacDonald because I've had him for four years and we've built a great relationship. He knows my step-dad's family really well. I got lucky, my freshman year going through all the vocational classes by picking horticulture, because it's not a bad class to get out of language and I have a great teacher. We always talk about sports besides landscaping. I also think that after I graduate, I'll come by and hang with him.
I've had some pretty amazing teachers throughout my 4 years of high school but if I had to choose a favorite it would be Mrs.Allen I want to thank you for always believing in all of your students even when we didn't, and always pushing all of us to succeed. I've always hated history until this year. Your a very strong and determined women. your full of surprises class with you is never boring. I've learned so much this year from you. I'm going to miss having your class next year.
Thank you so much Kayla. You have made a difference in my life too and I hold dear this year because of you and Sabrina and even Sam - you make teacher a great joy. I know you will succeed in any thing you choose - you have the compassion, generosity, and talent. I am so blessed to have been a small part of your high school world. Thank you thank you thank you...
Within the last few years of school i have definitely struggled, but along the way there were teachers to help me fight through it. I want to thank Mr. Collingsworth for just being who he is. He's definitely one of the most understanding teachers i've had. He managed to make his assignments interesting while at the same time following the curriculum. As somebody who dislikes reading, it’s very hard to follow along in english. Mr. Collingsworth always encouraged us to think a little bit harder, look at different perspectives, and to write about things we care about and want to know more about. So thank you Mr. Collingsworth for being the amazing english teacher you are.
*Blush* Sarah, it's been my privilege to have taught you both Freshman year and Senior year. You've grown into a remarkable person. All the best to you :-)
The past four years with me attending Pittsfield High I had many teachers that are my favorite. The one I want to give my thanks to is Mr.Kettles because he is a kind and generous person. I had him as a teacher in my 10th grade year, but the years that I didn't have him as a teacher he was still there helping me with whatever I needed. If it wasn't for his help I wouldn't been able to shadow a teacher at Morningside Elementary School. Shadowing at Morningside made me realize what I want to do for a career. I am very thankful for the things he has done for me without his help I don't know what I would do for my future for a career wise.
Ms.curry and mrs.Allen yall are the real mvp learned a crap ton with you ladies thank you for not giving up on me when I decided to be an ass and not do work. Won't forgot you peeps
You know Nick - it was easy to be your teacher. You have much to look forward to because you have great talent just waiting to be used. I remember an essay you wrote and how impressed I was with your intellectual curiosity. I also remember you and Zack putting the air conditioner in my room - such a thoughtful treat on those 90 degree days. You be good to yourself, believe in yourself, and never forget that you are amazing and gifted!!! Thank you Nick - Take care
Dear Nick. I remember when all you could think about in Period 4 class was how hungry you were. It is so gratifying to hear that you learned a great deal from your two social studies teachers. I take great pride in that fact and I take great pride in you as well. You have progressed into a responsible, considerate soul. I wish you luck in wherever your life path takes you. At graduation, give yourself an extra round of applause from me. 👏
The best teacher by far in this school is ms Quinn, no matter what she's always in a good mood and is always there to help anyone who needs it, she is a genuine kind lady and understands every aspect of life. She's more than just an art teacher and that's why I made sure to always have her class all 4 years of being here.
Chris....I want to thank you for all your help...all the time...I truly appreciate it....I will miss you..&...GOOD LUCK... :)
Mrs.Curry was easily my favorite teachers. I walked in on the first day of my freshman year and I knew of Mrs.Curry because she is a family friend of some good friends of mine so I met her before but I never knew how she was a s a teacher. Well to say the least she came off as a bit strong and and demanding but her personality just brightened my day every s, she used to wack me across the head but I new it was all part and parcel of learning. I learned the most I've ever learned in a class and I can't thank you enough. Hope to see you soon!
How sweet. I want you to know that you brightened my day as well. Many times I had to look away to hide a smile or laugh at your antics. Couldn't ruin my image. Stay as sweet and dedicated to your studies as you are today and always keep an open mind wh en you encounter new teachers as you progress along you r academic journey. Your ability to learn will just keep growing. Look for ward to seeing you at our mutual friend's home. 😊
Ms. Quinn is the best teacher I ever had. She helps me with my problems in and out of school and always has my back. She has taught me so much through art and my appreciation has risen way up after having her as a teacher. She is the hardest working woman I know, and there is no teacher more kind, brave or better than Ms. Quinn.
...Hunter... you make me cry.....I will miss you....see you @ BCC...
My favorite teachers at PHS were Ms Quinn and Mrs Zahn. I really enjoyed having Mrs Zahn when I was a freshman for math and really liked having ms quinn for art all 4 years. Both teachers are really easy going & I liked the way they taught me. Thanks for a great 4 years at PHS.
Collin.....Thanks for all your help...GENERAL OF THE WEEK!!!!!......I will miss my favorite announcer @ BB games....
Thank you, Collin! I'm going to miss your face!
A teacher that I have had at Pittsfield high school that is my favorite teacher would have to be Ms.barber. Ms. Barber has been my health tech teacher for two years now. She has helped me achieve many things like getting my CNA license and other certificates in CPR too. Ms. Barber helps me when I have problems in and out of school and I can always depend on her to help me if I'm struggling in class. Another reason Ms.Barber is my favorite teacher is she always has a positive attitude and gives off positive vibes.
Kaitlyn, thank you so very much for the kind words. They mean a lot to me.
In the two years that I have attended this school there really has only been one teacher that has made a significant impact on my life. That teacher is Ms Palmer. She is one of the kindest people i have ever met, she constantly goes out of her way to make sure her students are okay and she is always there to talk if you might need her. She has helped me in so many different ways throughout the past two years, I dont know how these years may have gone if she hadnt been part of my school experience.
My favorite teacher at phs is mr.kettles. He is knowledgeable, funny, and a nice teacher. I like many teachers at phs but I would have to say he is my favorite. Mr.kettles always has lit convos with me
During my four years at PHS I have encountered some amazing teachers who have helped change me and shape me as a person.
One teacher who I will remember is Mr. Chandler. From the very first day of freshman year where I was his only students for one period out of the day to the end of my sophomore year when I received a new teacher he was always there for me and even after that. Another favorite teacher of mine is Mrs. Charles who has gone above and beyond for me on several different occasions. Thank you to both of them for doing all they do!
Also want to shoutout Mr. Collingsworth for being a super amazing guy and making class more than just a class.
Aw, 7th period was always a little dreary when you weren't in it Marissa :-)
Thanks Marissa!! You have worked so hard these last two years with me. You are so ready to continue your education at college! I see great things in your future!!
Maybe I'll see you in the neighborhood next year when you're up here at MCLA! :-D
My favorite teacher would have to be Mr. Colllingsworth, as a scholar, he has been an inspiration to every aspect of my final year at phs. Now you may think "oh, this is so corny." However, oh, it is not. He truly is a very majestic individual who any underclassmen at phs should be honored to have, and so, after this year comes to an end, Mr. Collingsworth will be a teacher that has had a permanent impact on my days as a scholar. Farewell.
I'll try and wear the crown humbly Donavin. Seriously though, I've loved having you in class this year. One of my highlights. I've really enjoyed our discussions on the books. Best of luck out there!
If I were to choose one person at PHS to be my favorite it would be the all mighty Mr.Bishop. The reason why is because every day he has kept me in a positive mood, and he also kept me on the path to graduation.
My favorite teacher is Mrs Zahn, because she help me a lot in class by explaining some reading that I can't understand well, and she is very charismatic teacher
Thank you, Angelo! I'm very happy to have had you in class this year : )
Within my four years at Pittsfield High, my favorite and most influential teacher would have to be Mr. MacDonald. He pushes me to my full potential. He has an open mind and knows what is best for each student individually, even if the student is not driven towards an Agriculture program. He acknowledges every student within the hallways even if he doesn't have the student in his classroom. He knows how to push his students to be hard working adults in a person's trade. I feel more comfortable around him than a regular teacher and I go to him to work out everyday problems. For he is my favorite teacher.
Throughout my time at PHS I have had many helpful and influential teachers. If I had to choose my very favorite I would have to say Ms. Smalls because she has always been there for me and helped me and pushed me to get my work done to be where and I need to be. So for that I think Ms. Small a is definitely my favorite teacher. ❤️
Thank you Tavian
We all need a little push now and then to achieve our goals. I am just glad that you accepted the push and hopefully realized that you can get to the finish line if you try! I will miss you and just remember if you need a little help I will be here.
My favorite staff member at phs would have to be my shop teacher Mr. Galok. He's not only my shop teacher but a great friend of mine outside of school. I have had him since my freshman year and throughout those four years, he has not only helped me with my skills on small engines but helped me improve my health. I have worked with him outside of school for awhile now and all those times we had eaten lunch together after a couple hours of work really helped me. We would always talk about exercise and our intake of carbohydrates and suggest certain foods that will help blood sugars and by us talking about those it has helped me eat healthier and manage my Diabetes better. I can't thank him enough for everything he has done for me and making my four years of high school fun. His class was always the one I looked forward to and I am going to miss it but I am sure I will come back and visit if he is still here next year. Thank you for not only making me a better student/mechanic but for making me a better person as well.
To my favorite teacher, i doubt that she'd believe it. But Ms.Zahn you are going to be missed, i know we butt heads and didnt get along some of the time but i loved every second of it. With history being my favorite subject having you teach it was boring at times but i enjoyed it. I like the way you teach and I appreciate your help getting through this mess called high school. I'll make sure to visit and I hope things stay well.
Thank you for your kind words, Adam : )
You have so much to offer to so many people and I hope you recognize that! Stay positive and focused, and I know you'll go on to do great things.
My favorite teacher is Ms.Renton. She's been there helping me with all my classes and helped me achieve some of my goals sense 9th grade. I am truly thankful for every single thing that she has done for me. She will be truly missed when I graduate.
In my long 4 years in PHS I have had a lot of great teachers to get me through school but the teacher I will always remember will be Gina cause I know I wouldn't have made it this far without her and i am thankful for everything she has done for me.
Aww... Thanks Cam. You did it all, you just needed the extra push and a little guidance! Almost there kiddo.....
My favorite teacher is Mrs.charles because she helps me with anything I need and wouldn't pass with out her
Thanks Sam! You have worked very hard to get to graduation! I am excited for you to continue your education after high school! Keep up the great work.. almost there!
During the past 2years in this school,
If I hard to pick one of my favorite teacher it will be Ms.Celebi because she made me whom I am today even since I stepped my foot in this school and this state..I have never learn this nice life style in my life.
She helped in my Academic and my whole life .. even in my English speaking, reading and writing I will never forget what she taught me. Thanks be to her for everythings.
Zaidy-I'm so glad you came back to PHS! I have enjoyed watching you grow into the young adult you have become and teaching you has been an honor and a pleasure. I have no doubts that you will continue to grow and be successful in life because you know who you are and where you're going. Keep working the way you are now and you'll go far! Thanks for the kind words!
My favorite teacher throughout all of my school years has to be Ms. Quinn. She not only taught me about art but she has also taught me life lessons. She is always there to help me whether it be helping with an art project or helping me with things outside of school. Like sports, she is always there to support me no matter what it is and always glad to help in any way. That is why Ms. Quinn is my favorite teacher.
Awww....Thank you!!! Simon....it has been a true pleasure to be your ART teacher & paparazzi at all the games....I will miss you....GOOD LUCK..... :)
Over the four years I have attended phs I think my favorite teacher would have to be Ms.Quiñones. She made my days better with her up beat attitude every day. I enjoyed her class. When she left it made me sad but then I got to meet her daughter the year after. It was a pleasure to have you as a teacher.
Thank you for this, Cheyenne! I really enjoyed being around you, too! You always had such a great attitude--I have no doubt you'll go far with that spirit! And it was so nice to have the chance to introduce you to Annabelle--you should see her now! She is a walking, talking, climbing bundle of energy... :) I wish you the very best, and hope you stay in touch!
Out of the many teachers I've had I would like to thank Ms. Murphy. When you have Ms Murphy as a teacher you can tell that she truly cares about teaching, and all of students. She's not afraid to open up and tell stories about her life, or her experiences. I would also like to thank Mrs. Allen. Mrs Allen never gives up on her students and makes teaching her passion. I have only had a few teachers from kindergarten to now who have truly cared as much as Ms. Murphy and Mrs. Allen. Thank you for making a positive impact on my life! (I made the grammar the best I could Ms. Murphy!)
Thanks so much for your kind words Quinn. I have been blessed to have a job I love and great students like you in my classes. I love that you paid attention to your grammar! :) Best of luck next year Quinn.
Wow - thank you Quinn. I am going to miss your big smile and your Dunkin' Donuts coolatas!!! Never forget how great you are and how much you mean to all of us whose lives you have touched!!
My favorite teacher in the whole school has to be mrs.murphy. She is one of the best teachers at teaching, she is one of the only teachers that keep it 100% real with her students and i have to thank her for that. Although we got off to a rough start when i first had her as a teacher but by the end of the year we were close.
Thank you for your kind words. We did get off to a rough start, didn't we? That is why your writing this is so special to me. I have missed seeing you this year! Our 6th period class last year was one of a kind because you guys all kept it real too. Everyone was true to themselves, but stayed open enough to hear everyone else's opinions and experiences. Keep nurturing that kind and fun side of yourself. It is awesome. Best of luck next year.
Mrs.Valenti and Mrs.Dempsey are my favorite teachers because they have helped me a lot and i appreciate that. I hope to take whatever they have taught me wherever i go and apply it to my life and also help others on my way going up thank u once again
Mrs.Valenti and Mrs.Dempsey.
I have to thank all the teachers of this wonderful school for their hard work and dedication as they dealt with the infamous class of 2016. Ms.Dick is a great example of this magnificent staff with her love and compassion for her students. she has dealt with our class from beginning to end with no regrets. I have learned a lot from her about our nation's history and how to follow the law. With all that I have to thank her. :) Thank you Ms.Dick
I have only known this staff member since this year but during that time she has really helped me in many ways. Mrs Wagner in the college & career center has such a bubbly personality and she really shows that she genuinely cares about the students that she talks too. She has walked me through so many different colleges and helped me figure out what I want to do with my life after high school. I know that it's her job to do that but you can tell that she enjoys it and makes you feel comfortable enough to go talk to her about anything whether it has to do with college or not.
Alyssa!! This an absolutely beautiful compliment! You have been such a delight to have in my room each day and I'm so glad you decided to join Girls Rock. Your laugh and constant smile are utterly contagious. We have fun whether working on college stuff or bonding with silly hula hoop games, workouts, and "Giants, Wizards & Elves" after school! I know that whatever you choose to do -- Business? Psychology? Business?! Psychology?! Haha-- you'll be wonderfully successful at it and make so many others smile as you've made me smile each day this year. Thank you & be sure to visit!! Congratulations on graduating & heading on to your next adventure! :) P.S. See you 6th period
When the assignment was to write a Thank You Letter to a teacher, Ms. Murphy was the first to come to mind so I'd like to thank you for making class fun, I actually don't dread coming to your class like I do with most of my other classes. I'd also like to thank you on educating me on this extremely fascinating subject. Also thank you for keeping your room dim. It's super relaxing.
Thank you for your kind words. I remember a few years back when I knew you only as Will's little brother. I am so glad that you took my class this year. You are an incredibly insightful and intelligent young man. Don't ever sell yourself short. You are capable of doing anything you set your mind to. Please stay in touch after you graduate.

We had a cool class last year, didn't we? I am so happy to see you graduate this year. You are a unique young woman with a lot of energy and spirit. Best of luck next year and please stay in touch.
First off, i just wanna thank all the teachers i had for the 4 years in PHS. My favorites are Ms. Dick & Ms.Zahn. Both helped me a lot when it came to learning about History and they will always be favorites.
I wanna give a huge shout out to Murphy, Allen, Pink, and Parker for helping me out through these four year they have been the best for years I've learned so much and I've achieved more then anyone would have ever said I would I will always remember these four years because you all made them days to remeber and I apprieat everything you all have done for me thank you all so much!!!!!
Giovanni - such a powerful name!!!! You have made hall duty such a pleasure! Even though I have never been your classroom teacher - it has been an honor and a joy to know you. Your smile lights up the whole hall. Your kindness and love for others is so remarkable - never loose that inner beauty - it is so you! Please come back to visit Murph, Pink and Allen at your service in the social studies hallway
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I loved having you in my class last year and look forward to seeing you in the hallway every day. You are a kind and compassionate young man. I have been so impressed by the love and loyalty you give to your friends. That will take you far in life. Stay in touch next year.
My favorite teacher has to be Mrs. Allen because she has helped me grow so much. She is a great teacher because she focuses on the students individual need. There are not a lot of teachers that would do that. Also, she always compliments me on my outfit and it always brightens my day a little. I am definetly goin to miss her the most, she is such a unique and valuable person that I will never forget. Thank you Mrs. Allen for everything.
What a wonderful memory you have given me - I will treasure it always. You know girl how much I love you because you are true to yourself and beautiful inside and out! I cannot wait to see you working in the hospital and making everyone there forget their troubles. You have a gift and just you being you will heal so many. God Bless and THANK YOU.
My favorite teacher after attending four years at Pittsfield high would be none other than the man himself Mr. Barsanti my brother. Somehow through his sick mind and his elusive ideas his teaching is rare and remarkable. His remarkable class and lessons learned within the close doors of a crazy middle aged man with hectic thoughts and odd teaching techniques. Through being a brother and not using his superior power left many room to build a bond with a wise man. To have comfortability with a teacher can open many doors to ones learning and Barr has mastered that, if not pretty damn close. With his very rare choice of vocabulary and rawness of expression led the classroom to stem from instincts. To express how our learning minds receive and interpret or decipher others intellect had the opportunity to freely verbalize with it against others trains of others to get a grasp on perspectives. To find the why. Why do you think like that? Why? Why are certain things used in a ad? Why? Why was a odd word put in a certain sentence? Why? Thank you Barr, for being the rare crazy man you are but a inspirational teacher. You've helped me set the first stone in learning not only English class but life, now it's time I finish what you helped me start. One stone at a time.
Throughout the four years at phs I had came across many teachers and staff that were very influential to my education, and myself. I'm very grateful and appreciative to this women of value and savvy. She challenged all of her students, pushed them a little farther in their education. I had always enjoyed history as a subject but she took it to a new experience. I always enjoy the intellectual lessons she would teach, she brought creativity to the lessons and teaching and made them very enjoyable. I will always appreciate her for pushing me to my full potential. ~Thank you Mrs.Allen~
I am the lucky one. I love your intellect and your curiosity. I love your compassion for others and your passion for making the future a better place for all of us. You are an inspiration and a gem. Thank you for having serious conversations with me about climate change and tyranny and Bernie!!! I wish you the BEST!!!! Thank you for thinking of me - I will never forget you.
Out of my four years at phs i have came across many teachers who have helped me become not only a better student but a better person in the real world. Ms. Quinn has always been the person who is there to help you with schoolwork or will be there for you when you need advice. Not once out of my two years have i not wanted to go to her class and i have enjoyed every day ive spent with her in her classroom. I will for sure miss going to her class every day but i am also very thankful to have been able to be her student.
If I had to choose my favorite teacher the two years that I've been going to Pittsfield High School I don't know who I would choose. Mr. Pound made chemistry interesting to me I was competitive. I loved having the highest grade in the class. And I loved knowing exactly what I was talking about. Mrs. Ray she's always there to help. I always go into cosmetology ready. I know what I'm doing. She gives us everything we need to succeed in this career. I have an amazing job because of her! I couldn't thank her enough. Mr. Collingsworth he's funny dude and from the beginning I knew I would like his class. All of his assignments are challenging and fun. I don't agree with the group thing he's putting us through right now but that's just me. Even though I don't like working with people, especially when it comes to the grade, I've enjoyed it. I've enjoyed all of these classes. I was challenged and it feels good. I don't have a favorite teacher but these teachers had an impact on me and I will leave this school and take what I've learned and do the best that I can with it.
Thank you so much for your kind words about me. Its students like you that make me love what I do. I believe you have the potential to be very successful as an outstanding hairdresser. Your a beautiful, kind person from the inside out and, you deserve the very best in life. I will miss you so don't be a stranger and come and visit.
I've really enjoyed you in class Carissa. From the first day interacting with you, I thought "she's gonna be fun." And I was right! I feel the same about group work. I didn't think I'd make it through my Master's program because every single class was group based. I'm not the biggest people person out there. It's probably why I felt you were a bit of a kindred spirit. Best of luck in life :-)
Throughout my 4 years of high school at phs ive had alot of different teachers. If i had to choose one to be my favorite it would be Ms.Parker. Ive only had Ms.Parkerfor my senior year and she has helped me alot throughout this school year. And thats why shes my favorite teacher, cause shes willing to help her students .
Many staff members at this school have pushed me in the right direction these past four years, but the most influential staff member for me was Coach J. He taught me a lot about the game of football and more importantly about life outside of it like hard work, dedication and leadership.
Over my four years at Pittafield High School I have came across many teachers who have helped me become a better student. Mr. Kettles has taught me many things that I will actually use in my life. For example, this year in investing we learned about how to invest your money into stocks and bonds. I always looked forward going to his class, and it's one that I'm going to miss. Thank you Mr. Kettles
My favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. Small. (sorry Collingsworth). I've had Mrs. Small for 3 out of the 4 years, and she made each year incredibly fun and easy. When I had no one to turn to for help, I could always go to her for help. Especially when I was out for a month with Pneumonia, she gave me many health tips. She always has a great sense of humor, and always was easy to get along with. I will always remember our debates and arguments on 9/11, the government, and everyday life. Quinton, you know Jet Fuel Can't Melt Steel Beams. Well that's my input.
I have only been at this school for a short year and a half but my favorite teacher would have to be Ms. Murphy. She routinely comes into class with tons of methods and ways to get her point across. Whether it's power points, video clips, or fun activities she shows our class various ways of what she's trying to say. Furthermore she is very funny and teaches in a real world type manor rather than a typical curriculum.
Lastly I feel like I can go to her for any advice I may need as she can tell me how to handle it in a good way because she's a psychology teacher. I hope she progresses as a teacher and a person and I wish her the best.
I am so fortunate that you came to PHS and landed in my class! You have grown so much in so many ways this year. Thank you for being such an important player in our period four class - whether it is reading out loud, answering the phone with a flair, asking questions, or volunteering for an activity - it would not have been anywhere near as fun and interactive a class without you. Take all that confidence you have and do good things with it after high school. I think you might have a future in psychology! Best of luck next year and please stay in touch.
My favorite teacher that I enjoyed my whole 4 years is Mr collingsworth because e was the biggest supporter but also the biggest contributor in a lot of the work I did, he was prop ably ur best gay teacher I've had in a couple years, I did have fun being in his class because he made things easy enough so I could get it done in a reasonable time and I loved that about me collingsworth. I will miss him as an awesome teacher who taught me everything that I needed to know before I graduated.
Well Nikolai, to be considered one of the best gay teacher's you've had is really something! But seriously, I've loved seeing you grow from Freshman year to the fine young man you've blossomed into. As frustrating as you could sometimes be, I always knew your heart was in the right place. That will take you far. I'll miss you!
