Coming Out and dealing with homophobia in society, families and friendship-circles can be daunting. Below you'll find, in no particular order, a group of folks here at PHS who recognize that and would like to support you. They would like you to feel free to come to them in person or email them as you feel comfortable. As the GSA Advisor, I can attest that each one listed is a great person, resource, and ally. Those with an asterisk by their name have chaperoned the Boston Youth Pride March, were a member while they attended PHS, or advised the group in the past, that's how cool they are.

Mr. Collingsworth has been a GSA Advisor for going on six years, since he joined the faculty at PHS. He served for six years on the Berkshire Stonewall Community Coalition board, co-running the county's Coming Out group with Kate Dolan. Prior to moving to the Berkshires to serve at Williams College as the Queer Life Coordinator, he was the Director of The Kaleidoscope Youth Coalition, the LGBT Youth Center in Columbus Ohio, and Education and Outreach Coordinator at Stonewall Columbus, the LGBT Center in Columbus Ohio. He has been working with LGBT youth now for over twenty-six years. Mr. Collingsworth is a graduate of The Ohio State University and holds a BS in English with minors in History and Photography, and an MA in Education Policy and Leadership with a minor in Counseling Psychology.
